Welcome to Animas Martial Arts

AMA training centers on practical self-defense skills for real-world challenges. We train in modern forms of Kali and Aikido in a non-competitive, traditional atmosphere to develop rigorous martial skills that end the attack before it becomes a fight.

We practice the Japanese martial art of Aikido as a practical self-defense system, and continuously evolve techniques to develop successful responses for regular people against larger, stronger, and faster opponents. Learn to manipulate the attacker’s balance and redirect or leverage the attack into throws, takedowns and joint locks to end the conflict quickly.

An indigenous fighting art from the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, Kali is a highly effective, close-quarter empty-hand and weapons-based martial art that includes hand-to-hand combat tactics, joint locks, grappling, weapon defense and weapon disarming tactics.

Martial art training is valuable in all aspects of life and one of the most beneficial forms of physical and mental development. Through rigorous and consistent training, you can build advanced, effective self-defense skills, further grow yourself as a healthy person and elevate your daily experience. Applying the lessons learned into your daily life can benefit you in many ways:
